What we have been up to...

Here is what has been going on around here during the first few weeks of November...

We played in the leaves

This is what happened the first time I set Kiersten on the pile. It wasn't as compact as I thought. I did have to stop and take a picture before I pulled her out. She didn't mind.
We went to the zoo
Aidan petting an armadillo
and trying to brush a goat
Here is what Aidan has been up to...
He always wants to know what he has spelled with the letters
He got a trophy at the end of his fall soccer season He turned his ride on tractor into a fruit snack truck (like an ice cream truck but he sells fruits snacks). A package can be yours for the low, low price of three coins (any three coins).
Here is what Kiersten has been up to...
Pretty much just sitting around looking cute. She has so many cute outfits I feel like I have to take a picture of each one. She is finally growing out of her newborn size clothes.

Other Stuff from October

October was a busy month. Here is a look at what we have been up to...
Darren had an early hockey game so the whole family came to cheer him on. Aidan loves to go into the locker room with the team. He is the 'Gatorade Boy' after the game. Kiersten bundled up at the rink.
Every good hockey player wears his helmet to eat waffles.
Aidan brought a paper home from school a couple of weeks ago that was divided into sections that the teacher had labeled top, middle & bottom. He told me it was his homework.
A couple of days later he brought me this piece of paper that was supposed to be my homework. He wrote the words all by himself. I had no idea he knew how to write all those letters. Yeah! Kiersten has enough hair to wear bows now. Aidan learned how to play 'Go Fish'. Aidan went to his first real dentist appointment. Here he is checking out his teeth with the mirror. Getting ready for the cleaning. With his favorite dental tool, Mr Thirsty (the suction) Practicing brushing the alligator's teeth Aidan loves to play 'football team' and make signs to run through on his way out to the field. It has been a great way to get him to practice writing his letters. (I helped him with the red letters on the signs)

Halloween

Here are some pictures of the rest of our Halloween festivities.
We went to one more pumpkin patch. This one was at the Roughriders ballpark.
Aidan hanging out in the dugout.
Painting his pumpkin Then we carved out pumpkins at home.
Friday night, we went to the Texas Tornadoes game. The kids wore their costumes & they could trick-or-treat before the game. Aidan's referee costume was a big hit.
Kiersten was there too. On Halloween night
At the Fall Festival Aidan played a bunch of games and rode the adventure train.
Kiersten was there too.

Kiersten at 1 month & Baby Smiles

Here are some pictures of Kiersten at one month old. We are guessing she is about 9.5 pounds and 20.5 inches long using our bathroom scale and a tape measure.

Brief wardrobe malfunction
Here are my attempts to catch a smile on camera. They are a little blurry because I didn't want to blind her with the flash.
Had to include one shot of big brother. Its not many games when a referee gets to kick a field goal.

Pumpkin Patches

We have been celebrating fall by visiting a couple of area pumpkin patches. Here are some highlights...
Kiersten, the little flower
Aidan, the referee - Gotta love a costume with a whistle. This is what he told us he wanted to be on October 31, 2008 and he never changed his mind. Aidan squeezing through the hay maze.

It was very chilly. Look at the ring toss form

Pumpkin Patch Past

Every year we go to the same pumpkin patch and take Aidan's picture with the measuring stick. This year we got Kiersten in on the tradition.

Random Happenings

Aidan's Home Depot tattoo (which is still on his arm a week and a half later)
Aidan feeding Kiersten a bottle. He is my big brother super hero.
At the Stars game.
During warm-ups, this puck actually flew off the ice and hit the netting at the end of the ice before hitting Aidan on the head.
