Happy Birthday Darren

Aidan decorated Darren's entire bedroom to look like a jungle for his birthday. There were animals and vines all over the place.

Happy Campers!

In November, we decided to go camping. It was the first time for the four of us all to go together. We headed up to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma.

Enjoying dinner.

Smores by the fire.

Thie first night in the tent turned into playtime for the first hour or so. It was fueled by all the static electricity and fleecey pajama fun.

Good morning.

Aidan was pretending to be Moses and throwing his staff (the stick) on the ground in hopes it would turn into a snake. Why? I don't know.

Our animal friends.

Kiersten feel alseep while riding in the pack. Darren managed to get her off and prop her up and she stayed asleep. She didn't even drop her granola bar.

A little pan flute by the fire.

Kiersten found a measuring cup in the camping box which became her 'teacup' for the weekend.

Rangers Playoff Run

We enjoyed cheering on our Texas Rangers in hopes that they would 'Be the Champs'. They lost in game 7 of the World Series but the kids were really into it.

We had a chance to go to a game. We tailgated in the parking lot before hand.

Kiersten taking tailgating literally.

A little catch before the game.

Waving her Texas Towel

Rain Delay Fun

Kiersten finally gave up just after midnight.

Making some Texas cookies.

It became the kids' game-night ritual to sleep in their Rangers shirts.
