Little boys that go thump in the night

Last Saturday, we transitioned Aidan into his big boy bed. I was almost disappointed at the non-event it was. He slept through the night, as always, for the first three nights. Then he had a rolling out spell Tuesday night were he fell out 3 times exactly an hour apart from each other. He just rolled out once again tonight. We have now introduced 'crash pad' (a.k.a. a puffy quilt on the floor) into his vocabulary.

Bye-Bye Stars

Aidan was a true fan until the end. The Stars gave us one more home game before ending their season. Aidan was there ready to cheer with the sign he decorated. It will be interesting to see if his love of hockey continues through the off-season.

Stars Game

Aidan is a Stars fanatic. He thoroughly enjoyed the game last night which may be the last one he gets to go to for the season. I think he is going to be pretty upset when he realizes the season is over.

Ketchup!

What happens if you leave Aidan alone with a plate of chicken nuggets...

The Playset is Finished

Here are some shots of the finished product and Aidan testing everything out. If anyone wants to come over and try it out, just give us a call.

Butterflies

Today Aidan & I went with some other moms from church to a butterfly exhibit that was set up in a mall. There was a big tent filled with flowers, butterflies and a bunch of kids trying to catch the butterflies with bits of cantaloupe. Aidan enjoyed it at first but when a butterfly snuck up on him unexpectedly he was ready to go.

The Playset

After getting approval from the Home Owners Group and a rigorous playset selection process, work was under way on Aidan's birthday gift. We were warned this is a big project and that was no exaggeration. Darren & Grandpa worked on it all afternoon Saturday & Sunday and there is still some work to be done.

Here are some work in progress pictures.
