Surprise bedroom decorations Enjoying his cake

On your mark...Get set...Go!

Or sit on the start line and cry giant tears if you are Kiersten.

Weekend in Denver

We made a quick trip to Denver this weekend to visit family. We were very busy the whole time but got to do some fun things. I really wanted to get a good family picture so there a ton of shots of the four of us in front of something.
We went to Garden of the Gods. Aidan kissing the "Kissing Camels" rock
The fam at 'Balance Rock' With Aunt Karen
The Cog Railway up Pike's Peak Waving bye-bye
Aidan decided putting your arms out was the proper way to take pictures on the mountain.
We ate dinner at Casa Bonita. It is a strange mexican restaurant that has all kinds of activities & entertainment. Aidan got to keep the bottom of the pinata because he won the pirate face contest. Aidan raising the flag for more sopapillas Kiersten enjoyed her dinner The restaurant also has a high dive pool where divers perform. Our table was in the splash zone. Kiersten looks a little nervous. And splash
Uncle Bobby & Kiersten Our zoo tour guide. He barely put down the map all day and made sure we saw it all. Aunt Missi & Kiersten Cousins at the zoo. They look like they are having fun, don't they? Cousin Guthrie & Kiersten

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a busy weekend celebrating Memorial Day and getting our summer started.
Our neighborhood had its first Memorial Day bike parade. Both Aidan & Kiersten participated. Aidan won first place for his age group. He even got a smoothie gift card as a prize.
We went to the local pool. Kiersten loves the water and is fascinated by the fountains.
She is also fascinated by her brother's goggles. Aidan made pink lemonade rocket pops.
A few other random photos:
Kiersten is the 'fish whisperer'. Every time she is near the tank they swim to her and suck the side of the tank. I think they think her chubby little fingers are food but she loves it. And here, Aidan learned is why it is not a good idea to throw your clothes down from the balcony...
