Orlando Trip

Last weekend, we made a quick trip to Orlando for Julie's friend, Brittan's wedding. We had a lot of fun hanging out and catching up. Aidan enjoyed the party too. The reception was at Margaritaville restuarant, hence the luau attire.
The weather was kind of rainy but Aidan still got a chance to swim in the hotel pool.

Easter

Aidan went to his first big egg hunt last weekend. He tends to be pretty passive around other kids and has a tendency to move at his own pace. We coached him that the night before and on the way there he was going to have to run to get the eggs because there would be a lot of other kids. He understood and would say 'run' if you asked him what he was supposed to do.
Well there were a ton of other kids and as soon as they said go the whole herd ran for the eggs. Aidan ran too but he kept running and running. He ran all the way across the field and didn't pick up a single egg. I guess we left out the step that he was supposed to pick up the eggs as he was running. Luckily he ran to the older kids area and grabbed eggs a few there. Next year we might need to be a little more specific in our directions.

Real Snow

We were surprised Thursday afternoon by a snow storm. It all melted by Friday but it was fun while it lasted.

Aidan throwing snowballs.
Our short and wobbly snowman.

Pretend Snow

We had a box full of packing peanuts so we let Aidan have some fun.

Hawaii, Finally

Sorry it has taken forever to post vacation pictures. Things have been a little busy here lately. Hopefully we can post some video soon.

Aidan getting his money's worth from the breakfast buffet.
Aidan feeding the fish & birds at the hotel. We took a short walk to check out a blowhole which inspired Aidan to say "More blowhole" for the rest of the afternoon.
Aidan & Darren on the water slide.

Aidan climbing over his sand castle.
Aidan enjoyed the free drinks at the Luau. He had about three cups of pineapple juice and barely came up for air.

Aidan learning to hula with the other kids.

Aidan eating his authentic Luau hot dog.

Aidan had fun chasing the resident chickens (or cock-a-doos,as he called them). He learned that crackers taste better when dipped in the ocean.
