Sesame Street Live

One of my favorite childhood memories was going to see Sesame Street Live. When I was young, I won tickets in a radio contest to see the show and have a special breakfast with Bert & Ernie. I had written a letter as to why I wanted to meet Bert & Ernie and they read it on the radio. It was a proud moment in my life.
Anyway, I was afraid I was going to be let down seeing it again as an adult but I was wrong. It lived up to how I remembered it. The kids loved it. They both sat frozen still for the first 10 minutes or so. Then Aidan was up dancing and Kiersten was perfectly content.

I always said I would not dress up kids in silly outfits but if the Elmo onesie fits...
I was trying to capture Kiersten's intent concentration on the show. She was mesmerized (or maybe hypnotized)

Baby Dedication

We had the privilege of dedicating Kiersten at church last Sunday. Despite having to wake her up before going into the sanctuary, she behaved perfectly. We thank God for our beautiful gift.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!
These are the cards that Aidan made for his friends at school. Aidan got a special box of chocolates from a friend at church this morning. He loved them as you can tell by the chocolate on his face.
He also showed how much he loves his sister by sharing one with her. I think she liked it too. And a couple of last snow pictures...

More Fun in the Snow

By this afternoon, the snow was just about melted away. All that is left are the snowmen in the yard. We got outside for one last play this morning. Goodbye snow, we will miss you.

Another Snow Day!!

Today has been the snowiest day ever in North Texas history. Just one more snow record we have set this year. The snow was wet and heavy so it was great for making snowballs & snowmen. It was fun to see all the families in our neighborhood out enjoying the wintry weather.
Not to be outdone by the other houses in our neighborhood, we had to build an entire family out of snow.

Darren's workout lifting the snowballs. He looks like he is doing the atlas stone lifting contest in the World's Strongest Man competition.
