Summer Fun

Aidan participated in the week of Summer Fun at the mall again this year. One day he got to design a pizza box and make his own pizza.
I was impressed with how well he wrote his own name on the box.

Another day he twisted his own pretzel
On Friday, we headed to the ballpark to catch some Twins vs Rangers. Darren 'caught' his first ever home run ball at a MLB game - Josh Hamilton's home run. Even though we were pulling for the Twins that night, we kept the ball anyway :)

Welcome our newest additions...

UP and DOWN! Aidan has been asking a lot about pets lately so we decided it was time for his first fish. He picked the names Up and Down by himself and can tell the two fish apart. It is so cute to watch him talk to the fish and make sure they each eat some flakes when he feeds them.

They are not the most photogenic fish but Up is on the top (with the white belly) and down is below (naturally).

Cow Day

Yes, I made my son dress up like a cow in order to get a free lunch today. In my defense, he really had fun and enjoyed swishing his tail around.

Happy Father's Day

Thanks for being such a great Daddy!!

Happy Birthday Aidan

Aidan celebrated turning the big three this weekend. We had dinner at Chuck E Cheese, cake, donuts at the park with friends and presents. Thanks to all who celebrated with us, near and far.
Presents that came in the mail

A word of warning to any who might be playing Skee Ball near Aidan: He throws overhand. In the second picture you can see his ball flying into the next lane.
Aidan decorated his own cake this year.

Starting Soccer

Aidan has his first official soccer class/practice tonight. It was what you might expect with a group of 12 or so three-year-olds but he had a great time. I was impressed at how well he followed directions and kept up with the other kids. His only problem was that we didn't tell him ahead of time that there is more than one way to dribble a ball. At first when the coach would say dribble, he would pick up the ball and bounce it like a basketball. We will work on that for next week.
Warm-Ups (Aidan has on the white shirt and navy shorts) The coach had the kids try to balance the ball behind their head. We were surprised that Aidan could actually do it.

Post-practice dinner. Aidan got a special birthday dessert. Earlier this month, Darren took Aidan to Home Depot again for their kid's workshop.
