Welcome Kiersten!!

We are proud to announce that God has blessed us with the arrival of Kiersten Noelle at 12:26 yesterday afternoon! She is 6lbs, 12oz and 19.5 inches long. The whole family is doing great and we should be home tomorrow! Here are some pictures from her first 24 hours.

First Day of School 2009

It is hard to believe this is Aidan's third 'first day of school'. He had a great day and his only complaint was that I didn't pack enough in his lunch. And yes, I know his backpack is huge, but since I am usually the one who carries I wanted something that would hold his nap mat & lunchbox too.

In other news, Aidan has learned how to bake (and eat the dough of) chocolate chip cookies.

And he is tall enough to reach the pedals on his big trike.

Baseball, Snow & the Famous Chicken

On the rare cool (80 degree) night during this hot Texas summer, we headed out to the local ball park. There was all kinds of fun things going on. Out front, they had a snow hill for sledding, a pile of snow for snowball fights and snow cones. Also the 'Famous Chicken' was in town. Thank goodness he finally came out in the third inning because if I heard "Where is the chicken?" one more time, I might have gone insane. Aidan really enjoyed him though and clarified many times that it was just a guy dressed like a chicken.

Sneak Peek...

Since I have been measuring so small during this pregnancy, we have been having monthly sonograms to check the baby's size. Everything looks good so far and she is measuring right at average size for her age. Here are some of the 4D images from our appointment yesterday. Only eight more weeks to go...

Summer Fun

Aidan participated in the week of Summer Fun at the mall again this year. One day he got to design a pizza box and make his own pizza.

On Friday, we headed to the ballpark to catch some Twins vs Rangers. Darren 'caught' his first ever home run ball at a MLB game - Josh Hamilton's home run. Even though we were pulling for the Twins that night, we kept the ball anyway :)
